And I think you should be able to act on that impulse without impunity. I think you can love someone, truly love someone, and still be drawn to someone else. Things are looking up for Jessica Darling. But Jessica soon realizes that her bliss might not last. She lands an internship at a snarky Brooklyn-based magazine, but will she fit in with the uberhip staff and will she even want to? Spanish grad student she s assisting on a summer project. Will she even make it through college now that her parents have cut her off financially? And what do the cryptic one-word postcards from Marcus really mean?
In previous read throughs of this series, Charmed Thirds was as far as I got. I found Jessica very whiny. About her panic attack when she thought that she might be pregnant? So, I still have issues with Jessica getting all mad at Marcus two years later when they see each other again. I completely get that.
But you know what? And I completely related to Jessica as she was going through hers. Lucky for her she vented with her friends and family. You would think after her pregnancy scare, her break up with Marcus, and other various things she went through in those four years, she would have had a lot to confide to her best friend.
Final Rating: 4 out of 5 stars. Surprise, surprise. Bookshelf worthy?

Whether it be after Sloppy Firsts when that heart-breaking cliffhanger just makes you want to rip your hair out. Or after Second Helpings after Jessica and Marcus finally, finally, finally get together. Or after Charmed Thirds when you are simply unable to digest the sheer magnitude, truth, and scope of one book, four years, and so many journeys. Quite Rating: 4. Quite honestly, I picked up Charmed Thirds more skeptic than excited.
